Palihouse Santa Barbara

Hands down one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed at. My boyfriend and I were blown away when we checked into our room to find a fairly large patio for our dog, this was very convenient. I have to also say that the breakfast is so phenomenal!! I am already planning a second trip this year. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel

I discovered the Palihouse SB a few months ago when we visited for drinks and sat on their courtyard with water fountain. I loved the quaint space, the way it's decorated and the scent of fragrant candle burning as you walk up the steps from the street. Each room is designed with a balcony, and the facility has a pool, and bar... and the best coffee The staff are friendly, courteous and gracious, and I love the intimacy this boutique hotel offers.

My husband and I took our first family trip with our son to Santa Barbara this past week and stayed at the Palihouse. Their manager, Sylvia welcomed us and showed us all the accommodations & our room. Noelle was so friendly at the bar and Melanie was an amazing host each morning for breakfast! It was perfect and the staff was so accommodating to say the least. Our room was so spacious and clean, ideal for a family of 3 or even more if needed! We will definitely be back in the near future!

Had a fabulous stay at Palihouse Santa Barbara. This is my go to hotel brand and this property didn’t disappoint. Just off the main drag, it’s a peaceful and beautifully appointed boutique hotel. Friendly staff. Great service all around. Highly recommend.

Palihouse Santa Barbara is a fantastic place to stay, blending beautiful decor with a unique and inviting atmosphere. The architecture is really cool, with thoughtful design details that make the property feel special. What stood out most was the sense of closeness and connection — it feels more like a small community than a typical hotel. The layout encourages friendly interaction while still giving guests plenty of privacy. Our son absolutely loved the heated pool. He played in it for hours, enjoying every minute. Over two days, it became the highlight of his trip. The rooms are equally charming — spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with cozy fireplaces and private outdoor areas that are perfect for relaxing. Parking was easy, with an underground garage that included two spots for free EV charging — a nice bonus if you’re traveling with an electric car. The location is also ideal. You’re within easy walking distance of Santa Barbara’s busy areas, including fantastic restaurants, coffee shops, and the farmers market. Overall, Palihouse offers a wonderful combination of style, comfort, and convenience. It’s a great choice for families or couples looking to experience Santa Barbara in a more intimate, memorable setting. We’d definitely stay here again.

Walking distance to State street and plenty of dinner options, but I like that it was still far enough for peace & quiet. The free goodies in the lobby were a nice touch - especially the homemade cookies! And the general common areas were super cute! My only complaint: TVs were normal cable, not a smart tv that could connect to streaming.

From the moment I arrived, the General Manager and staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, warm greetings, genuine hospitality, and thoughtful touches throughout my stay. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with a cozy, elegant atmosphere that captures the charm of Santa Barbara perfectly. My room was spotless, comfortable, and full of character. Every interaction with the staff felt personal and sincere — you can really tell they take pride in what they do. Whether you’re visiting for a relaxing getaway or a business trip, this hotel is an absolute gem. I can’t wait to return!! P.s.. Food is excellent!! The olive oil cake is out of this world!!
